In the first quarter of 2024, the performance of the top 5 food delivery apps on the Android platform in Spain revealed interesting trends in downloads and active user metrics. Here's a closer look at the data, courtesy of Sensor Tower.

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 37K in the week of January 22. However, downloads gradually declined to around 23K by the end of March. The app maintained a stable number of weekly active users, starting at 284K and peaking at 352K in early February before slightly decreasing to 327K by the end of the quarter.

Glovo: Food Delivery and More saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a high of around 24K in the first week of January, dipping to 16K in mid-March, and then rising to 24K again by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also showed variability, starting at 537K, dropping to 494K in the second week of January, and ending the quarter at 530K.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery had a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, with numbers hovering between 10K and 14K throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 18K in the last week of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 293K, with a slight decrease to 268K in mid-March before recovering to 283K by the end of the quarter.

Just Eat ES Comida a Domicilio exhibited a decline in weekly downloads from 14K at the beginning of January to around 7.5K in mid-March, before rebounding to 11K at the end of the quarter. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at 146K, dipping to 122K in mid-March, and rising to 136K by the end of the quarter.

Grab - Taxi & Food Delivery maintained a steady download rate, with weekly downloads ranging between 900 and 1.1K. Active users showed a gradual increase from 31K at the beginning of January to 34K by the end of March.
